Find qualified RN to BSN programs offered by Pennsylvania nursing schools

Complete your Bachelor's degree in Nursing and advance your career

For PA nurses looking to strengthen their credentials there are lots of RN to BSN programs available at Pennsylvania colleges. These programs are designed for current RNs to build upon their previous nursing education and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. This will increase the depth of their knowledge in several different nursing subjects and make them more effective healthcare providers.

Some Pennsylvania schools offer part-time courses that fit around student’s work schedules. There are also distance learning courses where the majority of the course work is completed in an online format. This can be very convenient for working nurses because it allows them to save on commute time and learn from the comfort of their own home. Alternatively, for nurses that want to complete their degree as fast as possible, some schools offer fast-track or accelerated RN-BSN programs. These include heavy course loads and focus on quick completion.

Many healthcare employers have a strong preference for hiring RNs with their BSN degree. As of right now approximately one-third of RNs have a BSN degree, but this number will begin increasing in accordance with employer’s requirements. To remain competitive and avoid becoming un-employable many RNs are making the transition to a BSN degree now.

In addition to increasing your chances of landing various RN positions, you will also have the general benefits of a Bachelor’s level education. This will enable you to apply for Bachelor’s level jobs outside of the field of nursing. The BSN degree is versatile and can be used to apply for jobs in many different fields.
